Yemane Abraham has always had an outgoing nature. Friends
and family have commented on his enthusiastic zest for life ever since he was
small. He has always sought out new experiences, and thrives in situations when
he is meeting new people and experiencing new things.
This is the trait that has let Yemane Abraham to travel
whenever he has the opportunity. Because of his limited budget, much of his
traveling involves camping in the great outdoors. But he is able to set aside
enough money to get in a trip to some faraway place at least once a year, using
books like Traveling On a Budget to help him schedule his trips on a tight
allowance.
Yemane Abraham knows that there is never a perfect time to
travel, because it means having to arrange time off from work, disrupting his
normal schedule, and in some ways inconveniencing people who have come to rely
on him. Once he missed his girlfriend's birthday, and while she was upset for a
while, she forgave him. Yemane Abraham says you cannot let things like ordinary
life get in the way of your travel plans, because if you wait for the perfect
time to go, you'll be waiting for a long, long time.
Traveling to a faraway place has allowed Yemane Abraham to
find some perspective in his life, and decide what he wants to do with himself.
He has always been outgoing anyway, but traveling, especially when he travels
on his own, has allowed him to develop his independence, and even become more
skilled at reading people and situations. Getting out of his comfort zone and
challenging himself has enabled Yemane Abraham to learn a lot about himself.
